Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:

· 7+ years of experience building J2EE compliant applications using JSP, Servlets, Hibernate, and Spring framework.

· Good UI Skills with experience in jQuery, Javascript and HTML.

· Strong Java language fundamental knowledge and experience in Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) based application development.

· Experience with relational databases including Oracle database.

· Experience in writing reports with Jasper/iReports

· Proficient in all phases of System Development Life Cycle and methodologies, especially of modern iterative methods.

· Prior experience with workflow solutions preferred.

General Skills:

· Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and present creative ideas

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines

· Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people

· Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with a across-departmental team

Job Responsibilities:

· Executes and leads the new development, enhancement and maintenance of enterprise-class transactional systems and Web applications

· Participates in all phases of full life-cycle development of the system, including requirements analysis, software design, software implementation, testing, deployment and documentation

· Analyze functional requirements and troubleshoot application code issues utilizing proprietary software and technologies

· Evaluates product change requests and takes appropriate action to make required changes

· Provides guidance to entry level engineering staff

· Conducts system analysis and development, with limited support

· Performs functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects

· Coordinates with other technical specialists, project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure timely and effective management of resources

· Develops code for modules of small to large scope

· May oversee user acceptance testing and unit testing

· Leads group discussions with peers or external groups

· Works with external vendors, when necessary

· Performs data modeling / database design work

· Writes concise and clear technical documents

· Performs other duties as may be assigned by management

MIN Education/Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent

· Master’s Degree preferred

· Seven or more years of application development experience on high volume, performance centric web applications

Job Description:

Oracle EBS R12 and Oracle HRMS. They have employee self-service implemented. Now looking to add Manager Self-service (MSS). Need a functional analyst who can help them through process, discuss best practices, help create personnel action workflows. Our consultant will be creating functional workflows from scratch. Existing workflows are outdated and non-compliant.

The client wants someone to make recommendations so they can streamline workflows and not end up with a highly customized environment.

May want to look at a hierarchy workflow design in which only two levels of supervisors can approve action forms then route. They also don't want to complicate workflows and routing.

Dealing with terminations, new hires and salary increases.

· Ensure the data model properly supports changes to business requirements. Reviews business requests for data and data usage, researches data source for new and better data feeds. Act as a liaison between business and developers to analyze, design and implement the correct processes that will be supported by an integrated data model.

· Ensure that standards, policies and procedures are designed to support and maintain accurate data models as business evolves and matures. Work closely with QA to develop and support enterprise-wide data standards and policies.

· Assists in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality.

· Research, evaluate and recommend tools (query, reporting, transformation, etc.) required to ensure a robust and useable data warehouse/mart solution.

· Assist in the development of project plans and adhere to project timelines.

· Strong SQL background and ability to assist other teams with complex SQL and help System DBA's identifying performance bottlenecks and come up with solutions for tuning.

· Knowledge of ETL tools and processes and ability to lead and direct the ETL developers and guide the team on the use of ETL VS ELT methodologies.
